WKGB News™ Update--Correcting Misinformation in Farragut Press Letter
Good citizens of the Democratic People’s Republic of Farragutstan, we have a glorious state-approved announcement from WKGB News™. Apparently, a letter was published in WKGB™ News affiliate the Farragut Press without proper state approval.
Citizen Mike Mitchell has a long history of refusing to sing praises for BoMA. Your Chief Propaganda Minister shall correct this misinformation.
The dissident stated the following:
Why does the Town of Farragut budget large items without allowing the residents to be heard and their concerns recognized? No workshop has been held on the use of this land on McFee Road. The farragutpress reported the land would be used for ballfields. Later on social media, it was claimed by a member of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen no purpose had been decided yet.
Good citizens, our Fearless Leaders Louise Povlin and Ron Williams do not need to hear from the peasants in the DPRF. They are a hindrance to real progress and effective governance. Most citizens understand their place and they do not challenge our Benevolent Leaders. We are working on a solution to the few remaining dissenters.
Do the residents of Farragut feel they are informed and part of the Town’s decisions? This is legal, but it is a bad habit. Participation by residents in Town government is very low.
There is no need for citizens to participate. Our Leaders are superior in decision making and will run your lives better than you can. Dissent in the DPRF cannot be condoned nor tolerated.
The town shall begin numerous projects. Unfortunately, the few remaining holdouts of dissent have labeled the expansion of the Turkey Creek greenway as the Sidewalk to Nowhere. You must ignore this language and report any dissenter who uses it.
The Town of Farragut spent $54,500 with the consulting firm Raftelis to construct the resident outreach for strategic planning called Farragut Forward. The farragutpress reported 570 residents visited the Farragut Forward website. Of those 570 residents, 98 left comments on the website and 28 residents spoke in person with Raftelis personnel. These figures are from one of the southside aldermen.
Yet again, Dissenter Mitchell again posts misinformation and talking points that are not state approved nor mandated.
It is state mandated to never challenge the use of taxpayer funds given to consultants or friends of this administration. You must be thankful for all the nice things our Fearless Leaders give you. You shall never ask questions on funds going to the Farragut Business Alliance and used to promote our Fearless Leader’s gym.
Stay tuned to WKGB News™ for All News State Deem Fit to Print™. Remember to disseminate these state approved talking points to all good citizens and children.
We apologize for the delay in releasing this response.
